COVID-19 and Sistemic shutdown

Release Date: March 25, 2020

To all our clients, suppliers and partners,

We are taking this opportunity to let you know that as of 20.30 GMT 23rd March 2020 the UK and Scottish Governments issued further legally enforced social distancing measures, and as part of this, have instructed all non-essential businesses to close with immediate effect. They have stated that this situation will be reviewed following an initial 3 week period, in the first instance.

As a consequence Sistemic Board of Directors met on the 23rd March 2020 and confirmed the position of the company to abide with these guidelines and as a consequence the company will close at the end of the working day 24th March 2020. The decision was taken to delay closure until the 24th March 2020 to enable samples to be properly processed to ensure project integrity and quality and also to ensure proper facility closure with staff health and safety as the key element.
This is an incredibly challenging situation for Sistemic as a business and for us all as individuals. To protect the business and ensure that we retain staff and are ready to restart work once the restrictions are lifted the company will maintain a skeleton staff, working from home, and during this period all communication should be directed to Mr. Marcel Dutu on

Unfortunately, all laboratory work must stop but we ensure you that we have done everything to make sure that your project is not compromised as a result of this necessary action. As and when the situation is resolved, we will inform you when we can resume with the processing and analysis of your samples.

We appreciate your patience at this time. Stay safe.
Jim Reid, CEO & Chairman, Sistemic
